Outward Hound™ Pet Travel Gear

I purchased a Walk 'N Roll Pet Stroller. Thank you so much for manufacturing this product. For the past two years, I have been trying to find one. No one ever heard of them and I had checked the web sites and could only find one that looked like a rolling cage. It was ugly and I wouldn't want to push my dog in a thing that looked like that. Pooch Pick-Up Scented Pet Waste Clean-Up Bags!!! These are the BEST poop bags ever!!! I drive all the way across town to stock up. I particularly like the 100-pack box. On a Thursday evening in November 2004, I purchased the Outward Hound Deluxe Pet Lookout Car Booster seat for my dog. Biscuit is a Maltese and loves to go for car rides with me. I was concerned about his safety so I bought the booster seat. The next morning was our first ride with the booster seat. On our way to his doggy day care a car pulled out in front of me resulting in a car wreck. Biscuit was strapped in his seat so he was safe. My BMW was not so lucky – it was totaled. The booster seat helped to protect Biscuit. I won't take Biscuit for car rides without being in his car booster seat. He also likes being able to see out the window.

The summer of 2005 I introduced my female Doberman to swimming. She was just over a year old, and swam like a rock. I got her the OUTWARD HOUND life jacket , and her swimming was perfect. I purchased the Outward Hound life jacket from a local specialty store for one reason and one reason only; I sail with my dog.  “Salty” is a passionate swimmer, but the idea of trying to lift a 90 pound lab back into a 30' sailing vessel without a good life jacket is daunting, to say the least. Why did I select Outward Hound? Simply because while other makes provide comparable floatation, the OH unit appeared to have a much better belly band and lifting design than anything else I saw. Well, as luck would have it, Salty went for an unintended swim today. We stopped the boat, he swam along side, I grabbed onto the handle with the boat hook and hauled him right back aboard, easy as pie. Boaters, your dog can swim fine – but getting him back aboard is what counts. The Outward Hound jacket did the trick for us.

Our dog Maggie enjoys your wonderful product! She is a 9 year old "Basnbull" (Basenji/Pit Bull) mix; about 41 pounds with almost no body fat. Although she can swim without it, the Outward Hound Life Jacket makes it easier, more therapeutic, and reduces the amount of water she swallows. If it is so much as a puddle, my dalmatian Rescue is in it. Being a muscular dog, he requires assistance for his prolonged swimming periods at the beach, lake, or pool - not because he is a poor swimmer, but because he won't come out and rest! The jacket allows him to swim to his heart's content. The PetSaver jacket supports him, but doesn't get in his way while swimming (other jackets chafed him under the arms). The bright orange is very easy to see, while the material hoses clean easily. Already I gave Rescue's puppy sized jacket to another satisfied outward hound customer for her water-loving fox terrier.

I bought a raincoat and I'm really pleased. My dog hasn't worn clothing before, and he acts as if he is without the coat from the first moment on, even when I let him wear it in the house! He fell asleep without pulling or chewing on the straps, there is a small hole in the collar for the dog chain, and the pockets are very small but sturdy, the material feels really good, and I was told in the shop you could rinse it by hand with cold water and soap.

I recently started working in an elderly assisted living home, with my dog as a resident with me. I do Miniature Schnauzer rescue, so I have a house full of them, and life is tough for toys at our house. Several things in the Plush Puppies line are among the favorites: The grunting hedgehog , the giant octopus, and we just got the I cube. I brought the I cube home last night, and my 12 year old, very prey driven female worked at it until bed time, then took it to her dog bed and slept with her chin propped on it. I've had three at a time to play tug with the big octopus, and it still looks as good as it did when I brought it home last year.

I just wanted to thank you for making wonderful products for dogs. I have used the H₂O Neon neoprene Frisbee with great success to help motivate my moderate drive female border Collie in agility. She works faster and with greater enthusiasm for the Frisbee toss at the end than she ever did for food – and the bonus is that she then runs back to me to get a good tug going. This is a dog who has such a soft mouth that she would loathe tugging with conventional tug or rope toys, and could be a real dawdler on the course. The H20 Frisbee has really helped pump her up and is soft enough for her mouth, but sturdy enough to hold up tugging. Thanks again!

Thank you for your quality Hedgehog squeak toys! As far as my dog is concerned, no other toys will cut it. The water football is perfect for our trips to the beach, lake, and just playing in the yard (especially in the snow). It is easy to see, floats, and is soft enough for indoor play. Rescue, an outgoing 4 year old dalmatian, loves the H₂O Football - and it holds up to his hours of play. The neighborhood kids come ask if Res can come out to play football - as he knows the commands for "down" "set" "call the play" "go long" "touchdown" and "hike". We had to buy him his own football (two - one for indoor and one for outside), and there is none better than the H20 toy for him.

I recently purchased one of your Plush Puppies Egg Babies, the dinosaur to be specific. I cannot tell you how pleased I am with the toy. I have a 137 pound Wolf/hybrid that enjoys disemboweling stuffed toys. When I give him a toy, I expect to be cleaning up the shredded remains within minutes. The Egg Babies you manufacture is the single exception. It has been three days of frequent play; the seams are still strong and intact. The sewn on eyes are still in place, and Phantom has never had a toy he enjoyed so much.

As an owner of stuffed toy loving Golden Retrievers the past 20 years, I have spent a considerable amount of money purchasing and replacing stuffed toys. A friend brought your pink crab as a gift to my 2 month golden puppy. That was over 5 months ago, and the crab has been the favorite pick (out of over 15 toys) for my puppy, River, and my 4 year old Golden, Shadow. What I found immediately amazing is that the toy has been played with often, and with no soft handling, and it is in PERFECT shape. I have washed it many times too. I love the Plush Puppies Toys as they are made well and outlast the ordinary dog toys that the makers claim are made sturdy and well. My dogs pick out a Plush Puppy toy over any other. They love the rattles inside and love to hunt for the squeakies too. Dodger our resident toy "desqueaker" isn't successful in removing the squeaker from these toys, as he is too busy with the other noises! The favorite around here is Duncan Duck. My name is Kayla Sturgess. I am 13 years of age and will soon be going into the 8th grade. You are probably wondering why I am writing to you, right? Well, I am writing to you to tell you how much my dog enjoys your toys. My dog and I are big fans of the toys that Kyjen makes.  Out of all the different brands of toys that we bought for my dog, the only toys that he seems to be happy with are Kyjen toys. Every time that I go to PetSmart, we always look for Kyjen toys. They also last much longer the any other brand of dog toys. My dog finally has something to play with on his own during the day. Also, the Kyjen Plush dog toys squeak and rattle and that keeps him very entertained. Thank you very much for making such fun toys for my dog.
